"Kinetiscope" 2003

Remarks:
The kinetiscope, which is an early 1900s arcade machine, is the inspiration for this piece. A button on the front of the piece triggers a timed sequene of photos that are displayed on a screen. The photos are of a time lapse sequences of walking through urban locations. The purpose of this sculpture is an investigation into the perception of time, and how our memories serve as a way to sequence and process it. |
