Remarks:
These two sculptures have blades much like a fan, but the blades are not tilted - they do not create air flow. The turning of the mechanism does produce a subtle paper flapping noise. The sculpture spins at a rate that strobes to the human eye's perception of motion, thus creating a hypnotizing effect. |
